Position Overview

This position will manage and support customers who have licensed ATUM-technology. The licensing project manager will have a good understanding of ATUM’s licensed technologies and support technology evaluations, technology transfer and licensing efforts. This position requires excellent project management skills along with the technical knowledge to draft/communicate technical protocols, review data and troubleshoot lab processes.

Requirements:

  • Masters/PhD in biology/life sciences with 2-3 years of customer facing, life science industry experience.  PhD preferred.
  • Previous technical, customer-facing experience desirable 
  • Prior experience as a Project or Program Manager
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to work with both internal and external teams

Essential Skills

  • Working knowledge of mammalian cell culture processes
  • Ability to quickly understand complex biological processes, troubleshoot and communicate scientific solutions. 
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to take full ownership of assigned projects/responsibilities to enable success 
  • A dynamic personality with strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Manage all customer communications: schedule meetings, take notes, identify action items and follow-up to ensure timely completion
  • Manage the tech transfer process: send protocols, send example data, prepare slides outlining initial experiments, set-up orders for controls
  • Assist the Technical lead in creating and organizing tech transfer protocols, data packages, presentations, etc.
  • Organize and track shipments: communicate tracking information with recipients, ensure shipments are going to Licensed Facilities, review Commercial Invoices, oversee Customs clearance process 
  • Track licensee’s gene synthesis requirements: identify and communicate requirements to team members, review and track orders to ensure requirements and timelines are met, communicate timelines to customers
  • Work with the sales team to ensure all licensees receive regular touchpoints
  • Track and issue invoices for license fees
