We are seeking an experienced and skilled Research Associate II to join our Cell Line Development team. This role requires a mastery of aseptic techniques, executing lab protocols independently, and meeting production goals. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of scientific principles, demonstrates strong communication skills, and thrives in a structured team environment while contributing to high-quality deliverables.
Production Workflow Execution
- Independently execute tasks in compliance with established procedures for Cell Line Development.
- Masterfully apply aseptic techniques while working with cell cultures in a biosafety cabinet (BSC).
- Make decisions that impact your own work and have a limited effect on broader workflows.
- Assist in the composition and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Operate laboratory instruments, including Vi-Cell analyzers, NOVA analyzers, centrifuges, incubators, and liquid handlers.
- Manage liquid nitrogen vial storage and inventory, ensuring proper, organization, and documentation.
- Meet production deliverable deadlines consistently and efficiently.
- Conduct and contribute to the design of simple experiments within proper controls in collaboration with the team.
- Analyze data to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct troubleshooting and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Build strong working relationships within the team and across other labs in the company.
- Communicate effectively with management, staff, and cross-functional colleagues to ensure the alignment of production goals.
- Participate actively in team discussions, exchanging ideas and information to improve workflows.
- Ask questions and verify understanding of processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment, adhering to housekeeping and safety standards.
- Maintain consumable inventory to ensure seamless operation of the Cell Line Development lab.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Previous experience in Cell Line Development demonstrated proficiency in the Cell Line Development discipline.
- Mastery of aseptic techniques for cell culture work.
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment related to Cell Line Development.
- Ability to independently execute protocols in the Cell Line Development workflow.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with managers, team members, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and seek guidance as required.
- Capable of working in a structured environment under direction from a supervisor.
- Ability to analyze data and follow established procedures accurately.
- Enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and contributing to team success.
- Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy and quality.
